Tonight's three-hour RAW Supershow opens up with the pyro going off inside the Joe Louis Arena. Jim Ross welcomes us to a sold-out RAW from Detroit, Michigan.
We go to the ring and it's set up for the contract signing for the Three Stages of Hell Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Shane McMahon is on hand to preside over the proceedings. Shane brings out CM Punk first.
Shane introduces Chris Jericho next, but Camp Cornette answers instead. Cornette hits the stage flanked on either side by his mercenaries for Extreme Rules. Cornette adds an extra wrinkle to the Main Event stating that the superstar, whomever may be fortunate enough to score the deciding pinfall, will earn a shot at the new World Heavyweight Champion the following night on RAW. CM Punk sizes up the potential contenders and says if Cornette does manage to win, none of his cronies intimidate him, in fact, he is hoping and PRAYING that Brock Lesnar scores the deciding fall, so he can put the what-ifs to rest once and for all and demonstrate to the Next Big Thing and the WWE Universe that he is exactly what he says he is, THE BEST IN THE WORLD, and that he'll prove it again when he walks into and out of his hometown of Chicago as the NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.
Shane McMahon steps in and tells Cornette that he never signed off on that idea and says that he won't authorize it without knowing who comes away with full control of RAW on Sunday. Cornette storms to the ring, mic in hand and tells Shane that he'd BETTER hope that his beloved sister Stephanie doesn't end up with control of RAW, because if she does, Cornette has a parting gift prepared for World Wrestling Entertainment.
Cornette tells Shane that he has a "DETONATOR" stashed in his back pocket in the unlikely event that things don't go in his favor Sunday, and his thumb is just itching to hover over the button. Cornette gets directly in Shane's face and tells him if Stephanie wins, I push "the button", and your precious World Heavyweight Championship "blows up in his face. Don't make me push the button, Shane-O." Camp Cornette bullies their way back to the entrance ramp and the proceedings continue.
Jericho finally enters and takes his seat at the table. Jericho tells Punk that he feels the need to re-introduce himself, because Punk clearly has NO IDEA who he's dealing with. Jericho tells Punk that he was wrestling in Mexico, Japan and Smoky Mountain Wrestling when Punk was getting shoved in lockers; that he was wrestling for Paul Heyman in ECW, winning titles, falling victim to conspiracies and becoming "The Man of 1004 Holds" while Punk was piddling around in Backyard Wrestling. Jericho tells Punk that while he was cutting his teeth in IWA-Mid South and meeting his good buddies Colt Cabana and Chris Hero, Y2J was standing on the Grand Stage screaming "Welcome To RAW IS JERICHO" at the top of my lungs.
Jericho tells Punk that by the time he won his first title, the ECW Championship, Jericho had already nabbed the World Heavyweight Championship three times, The Intercontinental Championship SEVEN TIMES and became the first WWE Undisputed Champion in HISTORY. Jericho assures Punk that this Sunday, he will leave Chicago as WORLD Champion for the seventh time.
Punk yawns and sarcastically thanks Jericho for the history lesson. Punk then offers his own history lesson. Punk tells Jericho that he picked his spot when Jericho took his ball and went home or on the road with Fozzy or whatever was important enough to tear him away from "his calling" for two whole years. Punk asks Jericho if he remembers how he won his first World Heavyweight Title during his “Second Coming” five years ago. Punk reminds him that he needs to pay a HUGE debt of gratitude to the man Jericho beat to get to this point, RANDY ORTON. Punk tells Jericho that had Orton not punted him in the skull prior to his Championship Scramble Match, HE would have entered, NOT Jericho, would have successfully defended the World Title and Y2J would have faded into obscurity as a foot note in history as he took his leave again for another year and a half in 2010.
Punk invites Jericho to flash forward a couple more years to this past January and the Royal Rumble. Punk asks Jericho if he knows why he didn’t enter Wrestlemania as the defending WWE Champion, and reminds him that it was because Y2J couldn’t quite get the job done in their Iron Man Match. Punk concedes that maybe The Undertaker had something to do with it, but the point is that after the match ended Punk told him something that stayed with him. Punk told Jericho he was “A DAMN FIGHTER and YOU DESERVE A REMATCH. Which brings us to tonight and next Sunday.”
Punk tells Jericho that while his past may be more decorated, their history is on Punk’s side and that he has the brighter future. Punk tells Jericho that HE is the BEST IN THE WORLD and he’ll prove it again on Sunday night. Both men sign the contract. Punk grabs a mic and tells Jericho that it seems a shame for this contract signing to end without a pier-six brawl. Punk smashes the mic into Jericho’s stitches and delivers a GTS. Punk lays Jericho across the table and smashes him through it with a Randy Savage elbow. Punk rolls out of the ring and up the entrance ramp as we go to commercial.
Back from break and Cruiserweights are piling into the ring to determine who will join Kaval and Tajiri in the Cruiserweight Tables Match at Extreme Rules. In the ring already are The Amazing Red, Trent Barreta and Jimmy Wang Yang. Jay Lethal Makes his way out to the ring, followed by Ultimo Dragon and finally Evan Bourne. The bell rings and here we go.

-Ultimo Dragon pins The Amazing Red with an Asai DDT.
-Jay Lethal pins Jimmy Wang Yang after a Lethal Injection

-After the match, Bourne promises to go into Extreme Rules against two fantastic cruisers and come out as the first new WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
-We go to the video recap of Camp Cornette’s brutal assault on Stephanie McMahon the night after Wrestlemania and the subsequent rampage and arrest of Triple H.
-STEPHANIE MCMAHON is seen walking backstage and she’s CLEARLY PISSED. Still to come tonight, Steph is expected to officially introduce her 5-man team. PLUS, TRIPLE H’s ban from the arena and no-contact ban have been lifted. What can we expect from the Game tonight?
Back from break as Jim Cornette is back on the phone discussing the five opponents he’s arranged to have face off with his camp tonight. This appears to be a one-sided affair in the works.
We go to the finish of RAW last week and revisit Lesnar and company sabotaging Randy Orton’s aspirations for the World Heavyweight Championship, the ensuing post-match melee and Brock’s close encounter with The Deadman.
Backstage and Chris Jericho is icing his still healing concussion. Stephanie passes him by and informs him that the stipulations have been set for the Three Stages of Hell Match. The first fall will be inside the classic blue, 15-foot high Steel Cage, the second will be a No Holds Barred Street Fight and the final fall will be a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match. Jericho tries to argue the decision as Steph leaves him in her wake and we head back to commercial.
Back from break and we get footage of Wade Barrett beating down Mason Ryan and chasing R-Truth and Ted DiBiase from the ring.
R-TRUTH def. TED DIBIASE to qualify for the SIX-PACK CHALLENGE
An excellent 10-12 minute match. Finish comes as Truth skillfully counters Dream Street into Little Jimmy for the duke.
We see a split screen of Epico and Primo and The Usos as we head back to commercial.
Back from break and The Usos are in the ring awaiting their opponents. Epico and Primo enter and announce that per order of Jim Cornette, this Tag Team Turmoil Qualifying Match will now be a 3-on-2 Handicap Contest and that they will defend the tag titles under the Freebird rule with their new partner--CARLITO!
CARLITO, EPICO and PRIMO def. THE USOS to qualify for TAG TEAM TURMOIL
After knocking Jimmy Uso out of the equation, Jimmy Uso fell victim to an awesome combination, beginning with a Codebreaker by Epico, a Backstabber by Primo and a dazzling Phoenix Splash by Carlito for the win. Carlito and company now join The Outlaws, The Guns, The Dudleyz, The Dynasty, The Wolves and LAX in the Turmoil Match at Extreme Rules.
Backstage with Stephanie McMahon waiting outside the door as TRIPLE H makes his way out. The Game is IN THE BUILDING and havoc is almost certain to ensue...
ROB VAN DAM def. DAVID OTUNGA to qualify for the SIX-PACK CHALLENGE
Decent Match. RVD was MONSTROUSLY OVER with the Detroit crowd. Van Dam counters Otunga’s Spinebuster with a Monkey Flip and capitalizes with Rolling Thunder and the Five-Star Frog Splash for the win. RVD will now join Christian, Drew McIntyre, R-Truth and Rey Mysterio with one spot left to fill.
It is announced that ECW’s RYBACK will run the gauntlet against THREE superstars of PAUL HEYMAN’S choosing in the Extreme Rules YouTube pre-show.
Jericho is backstage trying to appeal the decision announced by Stephanie McMahon by pleading with Jim Cornette to reconsider the ruling. Cornette says he has FAR too much going on at the moment to be concerned with Jericho’s petty complaints. Furthermore, Cornette points out that the PPV is EXTREME RULES. Cornette challenges Jericho by insisting that if he can’t tough it out through three stages of Hell, then he doesn’t have the guts it requires to be World Heavyweight Champion anyway. Jericho puts his foot through a dressing room door.
Slyck Wagner Brown is seen backstage talking strategy with a new Tag Team Partner--SHELTON BENJAMIN as we head to break with the next Turmoil Qualifier UP NEXT.
THE KINGS OF WRESTLING def. SLYCK WAGNER BROWN and SHELTON BENJAMIN
Another impressive showing for SWB, but the finish comes when Claudio destroys Benjamin with Swiss Death. Claudio lifts Benjamin into position for a Ricola Bomb and Hero finishes off Shelton with Death Is Welcome for the pin. The Kings will now join the fray at Extreme Rules.
Backstage with Cornette, who has finally cleared up his schedule enough to speak with Punk regarding the stipulations put in place for Three Stages of Hell. Punk says he’s looking forward to it and tells Cornette for the record that he HATED his time in Smoky Mountain Wrestling and thanks GOD that he wasn’t in TNA or ROH when Cornette led them to the abyss. Punk’s point being, that even though he DESPISES the McMahon family, he’d much rather side with the “Devil He Knows” and says he will be actively rooting for Steph at Extreme Rules. Cornette storms out as we go to break.
Back from break and Triple H is stalking individual members of Camp Cornette, starting with Cody Rhodes, busting into Rhodes locker room with the Sledgehammer and chasing him into the parking lot, where Cody locks himself inside a limo. Trips smashes out the headlights and the windows before producing a knife and slashing the tires. Cody keeps himself locked in the limo, but with busted windows, it’s no hassle for Triple H to grab Rhodes by the collar, yank him out of the window and throw him into the trunk. Hunter slams the lid shut and proceeds to pound the hell out of the trunk hatch with the sledge. Triple H breaks the lock off of the trunk and leaves Cody stranded, banging on the trunk for help.
KOFI KINGSTON def. MVP to earn the final spot in the SIX-PACK CHALLENGE
Another really good fifteen-minute contest that concludes with MVP setting up for the Playmaker, but Kofi rolling out and rebounding with Trouble In Paradise to secure the final spot in the Six-Pack Challenge Match for the Intercontinental Championship.
Backstage with Brock Lesnar and Wade Barrett discussing strategy behind a glass wall, when suddenly the glass shatters and Triple H’s sledgehammer bursts through. Barrett and Ziggler flee as Trips smashes through the remainder of the wall. The duo barricades themselves inside Cornette’s office, while The Game rigs up a forklift and plows directly through the door, pinning them into the office, Cornette’s field has narrowed to two as we go back to commercial.
BEER MONEY INC. def. LONDON and KENDRICK to become the final team in TAG TEAM TURMOIL
Fantastic Back-and-Forth Tag Match ending with Kendrick trying for Sliced Bread #2 on Bobby Roode. Kendrick gets caught on the descent by Storm and drilled with DWI for the final pinfall. Beer Money rounds out the Tag Team Turmoil Match at Extreme Rules to determine who will become the NEW WWE Tag Team Champions.
The Miz is cautiously seeking out Triple H when the Game attacks from behind some crates, drags Miz to the Production area and throws The Awesome One off the loading dock into a pile of pallets. Cornette’s mercenaries have been narrowed to a solitary superstar and Steph and The Game have him right where they want him as we go to our final break.
DOLPH ZIGGLER versus MASON RYAN, CHRISTIAN, REY MYSTERIO, SANTINO MARELLA and BOOKER T never materialized
Ziggler stands alone in the ring, COMPLETELY unaware of what has happened to his partners and totally clueless that he’s walking into a slaughter. As soon as Ziggler enters the ring, Steph hits the ramp and TRIPLE H’s music hits. The Game stands stoically on the ramp and signals to the back for his partners in crime on Sunday--SHAWN MICHAELS, BATISTA and RANDY ORTON.
The foursome march down to ringside with a purpose and surround Ziggler on all sides. As they climb up onto the ring apron, the lights go down, the gong sounds, and the lights come back up with THE UNDERTAKER standing directly behind Ziggler. Dolph looks close to tears as he walks into Sweet Chin Music and gets planted with a Pedigree. Orton pounds the canvas until Ziggler gets back to his feet and drills him with an RKO. Batista continues the onslaught with a spine-shattering Batista Bomb and Taker finishes the job by burying Ziggler with a vile Tombstone Piledriver. Triple H and his partners do a four post salute as Taker kneels in the center of the ring. Team Stephanie looks downright unstoppable heading into Extreme Rules as RAW goes off the air.
