Tonight's WWE RAW Supershow comes to us live from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. and opens up with hype for the second round of the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, plus the fallout of Team Cornette's actions last week and a health update on Stephanie McMahon. Jim Ross announces CM Punk vs. The Undertaker for later on. The pyro goes off inside the Verizon Center as J.R. and King hype tonight's show.
We go to the ring and out comes Jim Cornette with his new assistant, Curt Hawkins.
Cornette introduces the four men he has selected so far to represent him in the 5-on-5 Elimination Tag Match for complete control of Monday Night RAW, Barrett and Rhodes enter first, followed by Ziggler and finally Brock Lesnar. Cornette explains that he is waging a "necessary war" against the McMahon family specifically for the men in the ring and all kindred spirits within the locker room.
Cody Rhodes takes the mic and blames Shane McMahon for the discriminatory act of booking a tournament featuring only former champions instead of giving credit where it's due to those who are on the threshold of greatness. Cody says the McMahon's are more concerned with the past instead of focusing on WWE's future. Wade Barrett takes the mic and fumes about being snubbed from the tournament also, saying that the McMahon family represents the establishment and that they will do anything to quell the revolution of blue chippers, and by association, Mr. Cornette, whom Barrett says has always had a keen eye for fledgling talent.
Dolph Ziggler gets on the mic and rages at the powers that be for continuously pushing the same "Golden Boys" time after time after time. The Cenas, The Ortons, The Triple Hs...Ziggler screams at the top of his lungs that he's had enough of being relegated to tag team title matches, losing to the Edges and CM Punks of the world, and jobbing out to BRODUS freakin' CLAY! Ziggler vows to fight for the cause of anyone representing a deviation from the norm.
Finally, Brock Lesnar takes the mic and says that he LOATHES the McMahon family and all they stand for. Lesnar says that Triple H was bound and determined to hold him down as long as he possibly could and says when the time came that Lesnar was about to catch and pass WWE’s “Crown Jewel”, the McMahon family bought him out of the remainder of his contract, and put him out on his ass. Lesnar turns his attention to Steph and taunts Triple H about how The Game was unable to protect his wife from disaster last week.
Lesnar tells everyone not to panic, that Steph is in stable condition with a few severely bruised ribs. Lesnar warns Triple H that Steph’s injuries are a mere microcosm of what The Game can expect to endure in the weeks to come, should they cross paths again. Lesnar vows to finish the job and put Stephanie away for good at Extreme Rules and is interrupted by Triple H’s music.
The Game walks to the ring, stoic and stone-faced, clearly focused on Camp Cornette, particularly Brock Lesnar. Triple H steps into the ring and stares down all four of them before casting a death glare at Lesnar. From out of nowhere, Triple H produces the Sledgehammer and plants it into the ribs of Rhodes, Barrett, and Ziggler driving them from the ring. The Game takes a wild swing and drills Lesnar squarely between the eyes with the head of the hammer, opening a nasty gash on Lesnar’s forehead.
The Cerebral Assassin drops Rhodes, Ziggler and Barrett with a series of facebusters and high knees before drilling Barrett with a Double A Spinebuster. Lesnar sneaks back in and drives the sledge into Hunter’s ribs and sets him up for the F5, but Trips fights out and drops Lesnar with a Pedigree. A profusely bleeding Lesnar retreats from the ring as Cornette and his cronies flee up the entrance ramp. Triple H shouts them down from the ring, brandishing the Sledgehammer as we go to our first commercial.
Back from break and Cornette is understandably LIVID with what has just transpired. Cornette demands that officials bring extra security to the ring for Triple H’s tournament match later on tonight to ensure that The Game doesn’t go ballistic again on an unsuspecting opponent.
RANDY ORTON def. SHAWN MICHAELS to advance
Another terrific match put on by the Viper and The Heartbreak Kid. Michaels connected with Sweet Chin Music, but Orton fell to the outside of the ring. As HBK rolls Orton back into the ring and sets up for another one, Orton ducks and rolls underneath the attempt and rebounds with a vicious RKO. Orton crawls to the cover and logs the three.
More with Jim Cornette trying to place more restrictions on Triple H in his tournament match tonight. Cornette tells officials that should Triple H make physical contact with any member of Camp Cornette outside the confines of a one-on-one match between now and Extreme Rules, he will be immediately terminated.
Santino is walking backstage and crosses paths with Curt Hawkins. Hawkins informs him that he will be in triple threat action later on tonight against Christian and TENSAI to determine who will move closer to the six-pack challenge for the IC Championship at Extreme Rules. Tensai attacks Santino from behind, repeatedly slamming his head into the concrete wall. Santino lies in shambles as we fade out.
We get footage from the aftermath of Miz’ assault on Ric Flair after last week’s tournament match and we get a promo for The Miz versus RVD up next. Back to commercial.
Cornette in his office speaking with a throng of cruiserweights, telling them that they will have an elimination match next week to determine RAW’s representative for the title match at Extreme Rules. Cornette tells them it will be a Tables Match.
THE MIZ def. ROB VAN DAM to advance
Good back and forth contest. Finish came after Van Dam connected with Rolling Thunder. Still favoring a neck injury from landing on his head on the arena floor during a suicide plancha earlier in the match, Van Dam lagged in getting to the top rope for the Five Star Frog Splash. Buying Miz enough time to return to his feet, Van Dam was knocked from his perch, straddling the top turnbuckle. Miz scales to the top and plants RVD with a staggering top rope SCF for the pin. Miz moves into the final four.
More of Cornette backstage, this time talking with Kharma. Cornette tells her that he has complete faith in her to bring the Women’s Championship back to RAW with her and tells her not to be intimidated by someone like Lita. Kharma sneers at Cornette and walks off without saying a word. We go to commercial.
Back from break and Michael McGillicutty is in the ring preparing for his Triple Threat Match to position himself for the Six-Pack Challenge. Cornette appears on the tron and explains that these triple threat matches will be executed “Elimination Chase” style with tonight’s winners and those not involved in the decision vying for the final spots next week on RAW.
ALEX RILEY def. MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY and DREW MCINTYRE
Finish comes when Riley counters out of Future Shock and connects with the Final Score. The backswing of McIntyre’s feet clocks McGillicutty in the skull and Riley covers McGillicutty for the win. Alex Riley will meet Drew McIntyre to determine who secures a spot in the Six-Pack Challenge next week.
Three-way split screen featuring Rey Mysterio, Carlito and Jay Lethal as we go to break.
Back from break and Carlito is cutting a promo on how it’s been seven years since he’s held the Intercontinental Championship and promises to move closer to that goal again tonight at the expense of Rey Mysterio and Jay Lethal.
CARLITO def. JAY LETHAL and REY MYSTERIO
Decent match. Finish came as Mysterio connects with a 619 to Lethal. Before Mysterio can capitalize on a West Coast Pop, Carlito yanks Rey off the ring apron, slamming the back of his head into the barricade. Carlito slides into the ring and nails Jay with a Backstabber for the cover and the win. Carlito will go one-on-one with Rey Mysterio for another spot next week.
Santino is spotted backstage returning to his feet and refusing assistance from staff doctors, vowing revenge against Tensai tonight.
Backstage with Cornette on the phone with the Board of Directors. Cornette finds out that he’s at capacity for matches on next week’s RAW and is forced to move the Cruiserweight Elimination Match to the final RAW before Extreme Rules. Cornette tells Hawkins to pass word onto the cruisers as we go to commercial.
Back from break and the final triple threat match of the night is about to get under way.
TENSAI def. SANTINO MARELLA and CHRISTIAN
Finish came as Tensai connected with a Baldo Bomb to Christian. As Tensai heads for the cover, Santino sets up for the Cobra and strikes, but Tensai no sells it. Tensai crushes Santino with a Clawhold STO and makes the cover for the three. Christian now has the unfortunate task of going head to head with Tensai next week for a spot in the Six-Pack Challenge Match.
Cornette is backstage heading to the ring, trailed by a THRONG of security guards and police officials. Triple H’s tournament quarterfinal is apparently next as we head to break.
Back from break and Chris Jericho makes his way out for his match with Triple H. Jericho promises he will main event Extreme Rules and leave as the NEW World Heavyweight Champion. Triple H appears on the titantron and tells Cornette he understands that he wants to keep Triple H from getting out of hand tonight and unleashing his unbridled fury on any members of Team Cornette between now and Extreme Rules.
Hunter says fortunately he’s found a couple of other guys willing to fight for Stephanie’s cause. Trips steers the camera in the direction of an enraged BATISTA and a dogged SHAWN MICHAELS wailing the HELL out of Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes respectively. Cornette frantically directs traffic, sending security backstage to pursue Batista and Michaels. With Cornette and company safely backstage, Triple H maneuvers through the crowd, decked in street clothes and tackles Jericho to the mat, throwing a flurry of punches. The bell rings and we are officially started.
CHRIS JERICHO def. TRIPLE H via DQ
The Game violently tosses Jericho to the outside sending him crashing to the barricade. Hunter goes under the ring and grabs the sledgehammer again. Sandwiching Jericho’s left arm in a steel chair, Hunter lifts the sledge and buries it in the steel. Hunter rips the steel steps apart and pedigrees Jericho on the steps. Hunter repeatedly smashes the head of the hammer into Jericho’s skull drawing blood yet again.
As Jericho pours blood onto the canvas, Triple H grabs a mic and promises that not only will Cornette be drummed out of WWE at Extreme Rules, Brock Lesnar will not leave the ring on April 29 vertically. Trips slams down the sledgehammer and storms backstage after Cornette as we go to our final break.
Back from break and Triple H is met by Cornette and a line of security and police. Jim tells the Game that he’d better be damn sure that he can get the job done at Extreme Rules, because he promises to make Triple H’s life an absolute living Hell if he fails. Security takes Triple H into custody and puts him in the back of the squad car for his vicious assault on Jericho before driving away.
CM PUNK def. THE UNDERTAKER when BROCK LESNAR interfered
Another fantastic match. Finish comes after Taker connects with a Last Ride. The Deadman signals for the finish, but turns around and walks into a waiting Brock Lesnar, who drills Taker with an F5. Lesnar casts a glance to the unconscious Punk and drags him to the cover. The referee regains his composure and logs the three count for a huge upset victory. Punk remains unconscious, completely unaware of what has transpired as Lesnar looks on with a smirk from the ramp. Set for next week are Chris Jericho (should he recover in time) versus Randy Orton and CM Punk one-on-one with The Miz as RAW goes off the air.

WWE Smackdown Results 04.06.12
Tonight's WWE Smackdown comes to us live from the TD Garden in Boston, MA as Josh Matthews and Matt Striker welcome us to the show.
Teddy Long is in the ring to address the fallout of the post-draft shakeup and explains that in addition to determining the Smackdown representatives for the Tag Team Turmoil Match, The Women's Championship Match and the Cruiserweight Championship Tables Match, tonight will play host to a series of qualifying matches for the United States Championship, which will be contested in a Championship Scramble Match at Extreme Rules.
The GM also introduces Smackdown's newest property, THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP, which will be awarded to the winner of the ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH on April 29. Long insists that all of tonight's participants will be left in the dark regarding their opponents until the bell rings, thus leveling the playing field on all fronts. Teddy tells the WWE Universe to enjoy the ride as we go to our first break.
Back from commercial and Justin Roberts announces that the Qualifying Match to determine Smackdown's representative for the Cruiserweight Title match at Extreme Rules is up next.

Back from break and A.J. Styles sets foot in a WWE ring for the first time, anxiously awaiting his opponent...MY NAME IS FINLAY AND I LOVE TO FIGHT! The Irish Lambegs thunder throughout the arena as The Belfast Brawler shuffles to ringside to give Styles what will surely be the fight of his life.
A.J. STYLES def. FINLAY to qualify for the CHAMPIONSHIP SCRAMBLE
Good back and forth battle. Finish comes as Finlay hooks A.J. into the Celtic Cross, only to have The Phenomenal One counter into a BEAUTIFUL Styles Clash for the duke. Styles qualifies for the Championship Scramble in his debut contest.
Backstage with Bryan Danielson priming for his Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match NEXT.
Back from break and The Final Countdown floods through the speakers and the crowd explodes into thirds--one section chanting “BEST IN THE WORLD”, one section chanting “YES! YES! YES!” and the rest singing along. Once Danielson reaches the ring, the rest join in and begin serenading The American Dragon in unison. Bryan awaits his opponent and the crowd explodes into stunned disbelief as Danielson’s old rival on the Independent Circuit, “Hurricane” John Walters steps through the curtain. Twitter and the IWC move into frenzy mode as the WWE is about to experience an Indy clinic.
BRYAN DANIELSON def. JOHN WALTERS to qualify for the ELIMINATION CHAMBER
Easily the match of the night. The match went a solid 15 minutes and had at least ten nearfalls. Fans rained down chants of “THIS IS AWESOME” and “PLEASE DON’T END THIS”. Finish came as Walters set up for a second Lung Blower, but after setting up the Straightjacket choke hold, Danielson would counter out and lock in Cattle Mutilation forcing the tap out. After the match, the crowd gave both men a standing ovation.

Back from break and Shark Boy and D-Ray 3000 are in the ring, clearly looking like their walking into a slaughter, await their opponents and...OH, YOU DIDN’T KNOW?! The crowd whips into a frenzy as The Outlaws head out, looking to qualify for Tag Team Turmoil at Extreme Rules.
NEW AGE OUTLAWS def. SHARK BOY and D-RAY 3000 to qualify for TAG TEAM TURMOIL
Quick business. The Outlaws team up to take D-Ray out of the equation within minutes of the bell. Shark Boy is isolated and left to the wolves as Road Dogg hits Shake, Rattle and Roll and Gunn caps it off with the Fame Asser for the win.
Backstage segment with Sheamus and John Cena. Sheamus tells Cena to get one thing perfectly clear. Sheamus says that the only reason Cena won the WWE Championship the last time they ended up in the Chamber together was because Triple H got the drop on him. Sheamus reminds Cena that Triple H isn’t on Smackdown and still doesn’t believe Cena has what it takes to bring down the Celtic Warrior on his own. Sheamus reminds John that he STILL hasn’t beaten him cleanly in a one-on-one match and wishes him the best of luck in his qualifying match in the coming weeks. Cena looks on as we go back to ringside.
NATALYA def. BETH PHOENIX, TAMINA, MELINA, MICKIE JAMES and MARYSE

After the match, KHARMA shows up on the ramp and makes her way to the ring. The two have a standoff as Kharma steps up onto the ring apron. Natalya throws the first punch and Kharma proceeds to beat down her much smaller opponent. This continues until ECW’s LITA runs down to make the save. Natalya and Lita double team Kharma, eventually double clotheslining her over the top rope before engaging in a staredown with each other.
Deuce N’ Domino are backstage walking toward the gorilla position for their Turmoil Qualifier as we head to break.
Back from commercial as Deuce N’ Domino head to the ring in their classic pink Cadillac. As the greasers hit the ring, gunshots ring through the rafters as Deuce N’ Domino will now be forced to qualify against the MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS.
MCMG def. DEUCE N’ DOMINO to qualify for TAG TEAM TURMOIL
Solid match. Domino gets taken out of the equation by Sabin’s Cradle Shock, leaving Deuce to fall victim to Made In Detroit for the win.
Back in Teddy’s office and Alberto Del Rio barges in, incensed with the idea that he has to QUALIFY to enter the Elimination Chamber at Extreme Rules and is in a furious sweat about not knowing who his opponent will be ahead of time. Long presents Del Rio with two options: “Shut up, stop bitching and get in the ring, or pack it in and get NOTHING.” Del Rio begrudgingly agrees to the terms and storms off. Teddy informs Del Rio that he’s in the main event tonight, so he’d best get prepared. Del Rio appears to be on the doorstep of rage as we head to break.
Back from break as Hunico and Camacho promise to move in on Tag Team Turmoil and go down in history as the “Biggest Steal in WWE History” when they walk out of Chicago as WWE Tag Team Champions. The arena is bathed in pink lights as the freshly-reunited HART DYNASTY arrive for their qualifier.

The Dynasty dominates. David Hart Smith incapacitates Camacho with a Running Powerslam and Hunico quickly falls victim to the Hart Attack. Tyson Kidd locks in a Sharpshooter and the finish is academic. The Dungeon Dynasty celebrates in the ring as we go to break.
Back from break and Justin Roberts introduces the call for the 2nd Scramble qualifier of the evening. Chris Masters makes his way down to the aisle, ready for battle. As Masters waits in the ring, the lights go down and the crowd is deafened by the sound of--MIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSTEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ANDERRRRSOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!
The spotlight hits the stage as the strongest lungs to grace a WWE ring have returned. Mr. Anderson drops the mic from the ceiling and goes through the usual routine: “GUESS WHO’S BACK! LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, THE FOLLOWING MEETING OF ASSHOLES ANONYMOUS IS NOW CALLED TO ORDER! Solid ten minute match, very hard hitting on both ends. Masters controls late, but after setting up for the Master Lock, Anderson rolls through and counters with a brutal Mic Check. Anderson now joins A.J. Styles in the Championship Scramble at Extreme Rules.
Heading into the final break as Del Rio is putting on the last of his gear and heads to the ring for the main event.
Back from break and Ricardo Rodriguez is introducing Del Rio, who enters in a gorgeous blue 1965 Chevrolet Cobra, street value $100,000. Del Rio waits impatiently as Justin Roberts introduces his opponent for the evening--weighing in at 280 pounds, from the Isle of Samoa, The Samoan Submission Machine--SAMOA JOE! The crowd erupts and so does Del Rio, for clearly different reasons. Joe walks slowly and methodically to the ring as we get under way.
SAMOA JOE def. ALBERTO DEL RIO in a classic match to qualify for the ELIMINATION CHAMBER
Great match that goes a solid fifteen minutes in the ring. Lots of back and forth action.
Del Rio set up for the Cross Armbreaker numerous times throughout the match, looking for a quick finish.
Del Rio attempts the Arm Breaker one last time, but Joe counters into an ST Joe and sends a bewildered Del Rio into the corner. The aristocrat tries to fight his way out, but Joe answers with an Ole’ Kick. Ricardo tries to get involved as a last ditch effort, but Joe drops him from the apron with a CCS Enziguri. Del Rio staggers out of the corner and into a Muscle Buster as Joe picks up the duke.
After the match, Joe celebrates, heading up the entrance ramp as Ricardo helps Del Rio back to his feet. Del Rio fumes and begins arguing with Rodriguez and shouting at Joe. Del Rio turns his attention back to the ring and is met with a TREMENDOUS Brogue Kick from a waiting Sheamus. The Great White stands over Del Rio, triumphantly defiant as Smackdown goes off the air.

Quick business. The Outlaws team up to take D-Ray out of the equation within minutes of the bell. Shark Boy is isolated and left to the wolves as Road Dogg hits Shake, Rattle and Roll and Gunn caps it off with the Fame Asser for the win.
Backstage segment with Sheamus and John Cena. Sheamus tells Cena to get one thing perfectly clear. Sheamus says that the only reason Cena won the WWE Championship the last time they ended up in the Chamber together was because Triple H got the drop on him. Sheamus reminds Cena that Triple H isn’t on Smackdown and still doesn’t believe Cena has what it takes to bring down the Celtic Warrior on his own. Sheamus reminds John that he STILL hasn’t beaten him cleanly in a one-on-one match and wishes him the best of luck in his qualifying match in the coming weeks. Cena looks on as we go back to ringside.

After the match, KHARMA shows up on the ramp and makes her way to the ring. The two have a standoff as Kharma steps up onto the ring apron. Natalya throws the first punch and Kharma proceeds to beat down her much smaller opponent. This continues until ECW’s LITA runs down to make the save. Natalya and Lita double team Kharma, eventually double clotheslining her over the top rope before engaging in a staredown with each other.
Deuce N’ Domino are backstage walking toward the gorilla position for their Turmoil Qualifier as we head to break.
Back from commercial as Deuce N’ Domino head to the ring in their classic pink Cadillac. As the greasers hit the ring, gunshots ring through the rafters as Deuce N’ Domino will now be forced to qualify against the MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS.
MCMG def. DEUCE N’ DOMINO to qualify for TAG TEAM TURMOIL
Solid match. Domino gets taken out of the equation by Sabin’s Cradle Shock, leaving Deuce to fall victim to Made In Detroit for the win.
Back in Teddy’s office and Alberto Del Rio barges in, incensed with the idea that he has to QUALIFY to enter the Elimination Chamber at Extreme Rules and is in a furious sweat about not knowing who his opponent will be ahead of time. Long presents Del Rio with two options: “Shut up, stop bitching and get in the ring, or pack it in and get NOTHING.” Del Rio begrudgingly agrees to the terms and storms off. Teddy informs Del Rio that he’s in the main event tonight, so he’d best get prepared. Del Rio appears to be on the doorstep of rage as we head to break.
Back from break as Hunico and Camacho promise to move in on Tag Team Turmoil and go down in history as the “Biggest Steal in WWE History” when they walk out of Chicago as WWE Tag Team Champions. The arena is bathed in pink lights as the freshly-reunited HART DYNASTY arrive for their qualifier.

Heading into the final break as Del Rio is putting on the last of his gear and heads to the ring for the main event.
Back from break and Ricardo Rodriguez is introducing Del Rio, who enters in a gorgeous blue 1965 Chevrolet Cobra, street value $100,000. Del Rio waits impatiently as Justin Roberts introduces his opponent for the evening--weighing in at 280 pounds, from the Isle of Samoa, The Samoan Submission Machine--SAMOA JOE! The crowd erupts and so does Del Rio, for clearly different reasons. Joe walks slowly and methodically to the ring as we get under way.
SAMOA JOE def. ALBERTO DEL RIO in a classic match to qualify for the ELIMINATION CHAMBER
Great match that goes a solid fifteen minutes in the ring. Lots of back and forth action.
Del Rio set up for the Cross Armbreaker numerous times throughout the match, looking for a quick finish.
Del Rio attempts the Arm Breaker one last time, but Joe counters into an ST Joe and sends a bewildered Del Rio into the corner. The aristocrat tries to fight his way out, but Joe answers with an Ole’ Kick. Ricardo tries to get involved as a last ditch effort, but Joe drops him from the apron with a CCS Enziguri. Del Rio staggers out of the corner and into a Muscle Buster as Joe picks up the duke.
After the match, Joe celebrates, heading up the entrance ramp as Ricardo helps Del Rio back to his feet. Del Rio fumes and begins arguing with Rodriguez and shouting at Joe. Del Rio turns his attention back to the ring and is met with a TREMENDOUS Brogue Kick from a waiting Sheamus. The Great White stands over Del Rio, triumphantly defiant as Smackdown goes off the air.

Tonight's ECW comes to us live from the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati as Paul Heyman hits the entrance ramp and welcomes his brand new roster of superstars, all of whom stand in the ring. Heyman explains that he's not waiting for Extreme Rules to name a new ECW champion, he's going to do it now. Heyman says the winner of the upcoming battle royal will be crowned the NEW ECW Champion. A brawl breaks out and the rumble is officially under way.
JOHN MORRISON wins a 40-Man Battle Royal to become the NEW ECW Champion
The match boils down to four, leaving Morrison, Sabu, Jack Swagger and Kane. Kane sets up for a Double Chokeslam to eliminate Swagger and Sabu simultaneously, but The All-American American and ECW's Resident psycho cinch in a double headlock and pull Kane over the top rope with them from the ring apron. Morrison sneaks up behind Kane and dumps all three to the floor to win the title.

Raw Supershow Results 04.02.12
-Tonight's 3-Hour RAW Supershow opens with a video package recap of last night's Wrestlemania 28 Results.
-We're live from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. Per stipulation in last night's WWE Championship Match, Lillian Garcia introduces the new WWE Chairman and CEO SHANE MCMAHON.
Shane explains that the Board of Directors came together on an agreement after the show last night and has called every member of the WWE Locker Room to ringside for a "landscape-changing announcement". Shane is joined by Teddy Long, Paul Heyman and RAW's new CO-GENERAL MANAGERS, JIM CORNETTE AND STEPHANIE MCMAHON. Shane calls WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton to the ring.
Shane explains that the Board sent out a mass e-mail to all superstars in the locker room, informing them if and what brand they were traded to. Shane regrets to inform Orton that since the man he took the World Title from remained on Smackdown, the title change is invalid and he will be stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship. Orton is understandably LIVID until Shane turns his attention to Punk. Shane thanks Punk for getting him the position, but that as Chairman and CEO, he refuses to demonstrate favoritism and informs Punk that while he is still property of Monday Night RAW, his successfully defended WWE Championship is now property of Smackdown, and thus he TOO must be stripped of the gold. A frustrated Punk surrenders the gold to Teddy Long.
Shane assures both Punk and Orton that they’ll have an opportunity to become the next World Heavyweight Champion, because as newly branded RAW superstars, they will join the 14 other World Champions drafted to RAW in a 16-man World Title tournament, culminating with the crowning of a new champion at Extreme Rules.
Shane leaves the ring, closely tailed by the new GMs. Cornette informs Punk that he has the distinction of the opening contest in the tournament, starting right now.
CM PUNK def. CHRISTIAN to advance
Solid, back-and-forth match. Finish snowballed as Christian countered the GTS into the Killswitch and Punk countered back, shoving Christian into the turnbuckle. Punk charges and Christian attempts a Pendulum Kick out of the corner, but Punk blocks and counters back into the GTS for the three.
After the match, Punk heads back up the ramp and is met by Triple H. The Game extends a hand and Punk scoffs at first, but then respectfully accepts. Stephanie emerges alongside Triple H and exchanges icy glares with Punk as the former WWE Champion heads back to the locker room.
-Cornette is seen setting up shop in his brand new office when WADE BARRETT and CODY RHODES come barging through the door. Both plead their case and express their contempt for being held out of the World Championship Tournament simply because they’ve never been champion. Cornette tells them not to worry about it, because there’s a far richer reward awaiting them if they agree to his modest proposal. Barrett and Rhodes seem intrigued and move into a huddle with Cornette as we go to commercial.
-Back from break, and Stephanie McMahon is heading back to her exclusive office and passes Cornette’s office on the way. Steph tells Cornette that while her brother may have made the call to initiate the World Championship Tournament, she gets to execute HER first order of business and says that next week there will be a series of triple threat matches to move toward the six finalists in a six-pack challenge match at Extreme Rules for the now-vacant Intercontinental Championship.
THE MIZ def. RIC FLAIR to advance
Flair had an impressive rally, but was outwitted by the considerably younger Miz. As Flair attempted to wrap things up with a Figure Four Leg Lock, Miz moved in with an inside cradle, hooking the tights for a surprise victory.
After the match, Flair tried wearing Miz out with a flurry of knife-edge chops, but Miz would block one of the swipes and countered into the Skull-Crushing Finale. Incensed, Miz ran to ringside and tossed the ring bell into the ring before dropping Flair face-first on top of the bell with a Snap DDT.

SHAWN MICHAELS def. BATISTA to advance
Another PPV quality match. Finish came as Batista attempted the Batista Bomb, but Michaels momentum carried him over the top of Batista’s head, landing on his feet behind the Animal’s back. By the time Batista had the wherewithal to regain his wits, it was too late. HBK would practically decapitate the former six-time champion with a THUNDEROUS Sweet Chin Music to get the duke.
-Advertised for later on tonight is an announcement concerning Extreme Rules and the “proposal” he was discussing earlier on. We go back to commercial.
CHRIS JERICHO def. DOLPH ZIGGLER to advance
Ziggler and Jericho put on a classic. Ziggler connected with the Name Dropper and the Zig Zag, but could only put up two and a half. Finish comes as Ziggler attempts a Fireman’s Carry Gut Buster from the top rope and Jericho counters into a jaw-dropping Codebreaker. Ziggler sells like DEATH as Jericho crawls to the cover and the three.
-After the match, Jericho grabs a mic and pulls up a chair, glaring at the World Heavyweight Championship, now sitting on a pedestal at ringside. Jericho promises that he will main event Extreme Rules and will leave Chicago as a seven-time World Champion.
-Still to come tonight, four more first round contests and Cornette’s Major Announcement. Back to commercial.
-Jeremy Borash catches up with Dolph Ziggler backstage and asks him about his loss in the opening round. Ziggler pins Borash to the wall and tells JB that he is sick and tired of the WWE being “hijacked by the same five golden boys every week”. Ziggler says he’ll have to take it upon himself to make things change.
-CM Punk is backstage and is confronted by Randy Orton. Punk tells Orton that he doesn’t like Shane McMahon’s “midnight legislation” any more than he does. Punk says that the best way to shove this incredibly stupid call in management’s face is to come out on top of their respective brackets and meet each other at Extreme Rules. Orton agrees and says from this point on he doesn’t care who he steps into the ring with, promising to make an example out of anyone who dares.
-Cornette announces a Triple Threat Match for the Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules with one representative from each brand and that RAW will determine theirs RIGHT NOW.
KHARMA def. TRISH STRATUS, MOLLY HOLLY, MICHELLE MCCOOL, LAYLA and MARIA to qualify
The other divas attempt a 5-on-1 against Kharma, but she fights them all off. Kharma crushed Layla with a spinning backfist, rendering her unable to continue. As EMTs carted Layla off, Kharma would lay Maria and Molly Holly to waste with an Awesome Bomb and a body avalanche respectively. McCool would fall victim to an Accordion Rack, leaving only Kharma and Trish. After several minutes of battle, Kharma would finally get the best of Trish and put the seven-time Women’s Champion away with an Implant Buster for the win.
We see Randy Orton walking backstage as we head back to commercial.
RANDY ORTON def. GOLDBERG to advance
In a match that Goldberg dominated from the outset, the finish came as Orton was set up for the Jackhammer. The Viper had the presence of mind to rake Goldberg’s eyes in his vertical state and shift the momentum into a breathtaking RKO. Scurrying into the corner, Orton proceeded to punt Goldberg’s face through the back of his head and make the cover for the victory.

THE UNDERTAKER def. REY MYSTERIO to advance
Mysterio puts up a heroic effort, but ultimately was out-powered by the Deadman. Finish comes as Mysterio sets up for the 619, but Taker captures Mysterio’s legs and moves into position for a Tombstone Piledriver, but devises an even more sinister conclusion. Climbing to the second rope, The Deadman astonishes the Miami crowd by drilling Mysterio with a CATASTROPHIC Tombstone Piledriver for the three count.
Stephanie McMahon settles into her office and informs her assistant that representatives will be chosen in the weeks to come for all three brands to compete in a Triple Threat Match for the Cruiserweight Championship. Steph also acknowledges the beginnings of a Tag Team Turmoil Match set for Extreme Rules as well.
Booker T and Rob Van Dam are seen walking backstage in preparation for the next tournament qualifier. Back to commercial.

Decent match. Finish came as RVD dodged a Scissors Kick and fired back with a Step-Over Wheel Kick, Rolling Thunder and a Five-Star Frog Splash for the duke.
Triple H emerges for the final first round contest, and begins shooting on Brock Lesnar. The Game says the only reason that his match with Lesnar didn’t happen earlier this evening was because Lesnar has decided only to show up when it’s convenient to him. Hunter tells Miami that Lesnar left the company back in ‘04 because he had the idea that he was good enough to take on the world, but when the offer came up to go one on one with The Game, he backed down. Trips berates Lesnar and tells him that now is the chance to demonstrate his “World-Beating” capabilities against the King of Kings. Lesnar quickly complies and the match is under way.
TRIPLE H def. BROCK LESNAR via DQ to advance
An outright brawl ensues until Triple H gains momentum and prepares to plant Lesnar with the Pedigree. Before the game can act, Jim Cornette shows up on the entrance ramp, providing the distraction. WADE BARRETT, CODY RHODES AND DOLPH ZIGGLER jump the barricade and proceed to beat down Triple H, drawing the DQ.
After the match, Ziggler, Rhodes and Barrett all hit their finishers on Triple H and Lesnar punctuates with a nasty F5. Lesnar drags a prone Triple H to the outside and pins his arm between the ringpost and the steel steps. Stephanie rushes down to ringside to beg them off.
Cornette grabs a mic and says that it has been clear to him since the outset of RAW tonight that there was absolutely no way he was going to be able to coexist with a McMahon running RAW, especially Stephanie. Cornette explains the proposal that he had been discussing with Barrett and Rhodes earlier in the evening and tells Stephanie to meet 4/5 of his team at Extreme Rules.
Cornette announces a 5-on-5 Elimination Tag Team Match between himself and Stephanie with the winning team earning TOTAL CONTROL Of MONDAY NIGHT RAW. Lesnar grabs Stephanie by the back of her head, tosses her back into the ring and, after an intense staredown, shocks the world by hitting The Billion Dollar Princess with another F5. Cornette’s team stands in the ring, arms raised in victory as RAW goes off the air.
-We're live from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. Per stipulation in last night's WWE Championship Match, Lillian Garcia introduces the new WWE Chairman and CEO SHANE MCMAHON.
Shane explains that the Board of Directors came together on an agreement after the show last night and has called every member of the WWE Locker Room to ringside for a "landscape-changing announcement". Shane is joined by Teddy Long, Paul Heyman and RAW's new CO-GENERAL MANAGERS, JIM CORNETTE AND STEPHANIE MCMAHON. Shane calls WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton to the ring.
Shane explains that the Board sent out a mass e-mail to all superstars in the locker room, informing them if and what brand they were traded to. Shane regrets to inform Orton that since the man he took the World Title from remained on Smackdown, the title change is invalid and he will be stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship. Orton is understandably LIVID until Shane turns his attention to Punk. Shane thanks Punk for getting him the position, but that as Chairman and CEO, he refuses to demonstrate favoritism and informs Punk that while he is still property of Monday Night RAW, his successfully defended WWE Championship is now property of Smackdown, and thus he TOO must be stripped of the gold. A frustrated Punk surrenders the gold to Teddy Long.
Shane assures both Punk and Orton that they’ll have an opportunity to become the next World Heavyweight Champion, because as newly branded RAW superstars, they will join the 14 other World Champions drafted to RAW in a 16-man World Title tournament, culminating with the crowning of a new champion at Extreme Rules.
Shane leaves the ring, closely tailed by the new GMs. Cornette informs Punk that he has the distinction of the opening contest in the tournament, starting right now.
CM PUNK def. CHRISTIAN to advance
Solid, back-and-forth match. Finish snowballed as Christian countered the GTS into the Killswitch and Punk countered back, shoving Christian into the turnbuckle. Punk charges and Christian attempts a Pendulum Kick out of the corner, but Punk blocks and counters back into the GTS for the three.
After the match, Punk heads back up the ramp and is met by Triple H. The Game extends a hand and Punk scoffs at first, but then respectfully accepts. Stephanie emerges alongside Triple H and exchanges icy glares with Punk as the former WWE Champion heads back to the locker room.
-Cornette is seen setting up shop in his brand new office when WADE BARRETT and CODY RHODES come barging through the door. Both plead their case and express their contempt for being held out of the World Championship Tournament simply because they’ve never been champion. Cornette tells them not to worry about it, because there’s a far richer reward awaiting them if they agree to his modest proposal. Barrett and Rhodes seem intrigued and move into a huddle with Cornette as we go to commercial.
-Back from break, and Stephanie McMahon is heading back to her exclusive office and passes Cornette’s office on the way. Steph tells Cornette that while her brother may have made the call to initiate the World Championship Tournament, she gets to execute HER first order of business and says that next week there will be a series of triple threat matches to move toward the six finalists in a six-pack challenge match at Extreme Rules for the now-vacant Intercontinental Championship.
THE MIZ def. RIC FLAIR to advance
Flair had an impressive rally, but was outwitted by the considerably younger Miz. As Flair attempted to wrap things up with a Figure Four Leg Lock, Miz moved in with an inside cradle, hooking the tights for a surprise victory.
After the match, Flair tried wearing Miz out with a flurry of knife-edge chops, but Miz would block one of the swipes and countered into the Skull-Crushing Finale. Incensed, Miz ran to ringside and tossed the ring bell into the ring before dropping Flair face-first on top of the bell with a Snap DDT.

SHAWN MICHAELS def. BATISTA to advance
Another PPV quality match. Finish came as Batista attempted the Batista Bomb, but Michaels momentum carried him over the top of Batista’s head, landing on his feet behind the Animal’s back. By the time Batista had the wherewithal to regain his wits, it was too late. HBK would practically decapitate the former six-time champion with a THUNDEROUS Sweet Chin Music to get the duke.
-Advertised for later on tonight is an announcement concerning Extreme Rules and the “proposal” he was discussing earlier on. We go back to commercial.
CHRIS JERICHO def. DOLPH ZIGGLER to advance
Ziggler and Jericho put on a classic. Ziggler connected with the Name Dropper and the Zig Zag, but could only put up two and a half. Finish comes as Ziggler attempts a Fireman’s Carry Gut Buster from the top rope and Jericho counters into a jaw-dropping Codebreaker. Ziggler sells like DEATH as Jericho crawls to the cover and the three.
-After the match, Jericho grabs a mic and pulls up a chair, glaring at the World Heavyweight Championship, now sitting on a pedestal at ringside. Jericho promises that he will main event Extreme Rules and will leave Chicago as a seven-time World Champion.

-Jeremy Borash catches up with Dolph Ziggler backstage and asks him about his loss in the opening round. Ziggler pins Borash to the wall and tells JB that he is sick and tired of the WWE being “hijacked by the same five golden boys every week”. Ziggler says he’ll have to take it upon himself to make things change.
-CM Punk is backstage and is confronted by Randy Orton. Punk tells Orton that he doesn’t like Shane McMahon’s “midnight legislation” any more than he does. Punk says that the best way to shove this incredibly stupid call in management’s face is to come out on top of their respective brackets and meet each other at Extreme Rules. Orton agrees and says from this point on he doesn’t care who he steps into the ring with, promising to make an example out of anyone who dares.
-Cornette announces a Triple Threat Match for the Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules with one representative from each brand and that RAW will determine theirs RIGHT NOW.
KHARMA def. TRISH STRATUS, MOLLY HOLLY, MICHELLE MCCOOL, LAYLA and MARIA to qualify
The other divas attempt a 5-on-1 against Kharma, but she fights them all off. Kharma crushed Layla with a spinning backfist, rendering her unable to continue. As EMTs carted Layla off, Kharma would lay Maria and Molly Holly to waste with an Awesome Bomb and a body avalanche respectively. McCool would fall victim to an Accordion Rack, leaving only Kharma and Trish. After several minutes of battle, Kharma would finally get the best of Trish and put the seven-time Women’s Champion away with an Implant Buster for the win.
We see Randy Orton walking backstage as we head back to commercial.
RANDY ORTON def. GOLDBERG to advance
In a match that Goldberg dominated from the outset, the finish came as Orton was set up for the Jackhammer. The Viper had the presence of mind to rake Goldberg’s eyes in his vertical state and shift the momentum into a breathtaking RKO. Scurrying into the corner, Orton proceeded to punt Goldberg’s face through the back of his head and make the cover for the victory.
Still to come tonight, three more superstars will move into position to main event Extreme Rules. We go to another promo for Cornette’s major announcement tonight.
Back from break and out comes Rey Mysterio. Out next comes The Undertaker.
THE UNDERTAKER def. REY MYSTERIO to advance
Mysterio puts up a heroic effort, but ultimately was out-powered by the Deadman. Finish comes as Mysterio sets up for the 619, but Taker captures Mysterio’s legs and moves into position for a Tombstone Piledriver, but devises an even more sinister conclusion. Climbing to the second rope, The Deadman astonishes the Miami crowd by drilling Mysterio with a CATASTROPHIC Tombstone Piledriver for the three count.
Stephanie McMahon settles into her office and informs her assistant that representatives will be chosen in the weeks to come for all three brands to compete in a Triple Threat Match for the Cruiserweight Championship. Steph also acknowledges the beginnings of a Tag Team Turmoil Match set for Extreme Rules as well.
Booker T and Rob Van Dam are seen walking backstage in preparation for the next tournament qualifier. Back to commercial.
ROB VAN DAM def. BOOKER T to advance
Decent match. Finish came as RVD dodged a Scissors Kick and fired back with a Step-Over Wheel Kick, Rolling Thunder and a Five-Star Frog Splash for the duke.
Triple H emerges for the final first round contest, and begins shooting on Brock Lesnar. The Game says the only reason that his match with Lesnar didn’t happen earlier this evening was because Lesnar has decided only to show up when it’s convenient to him. Hunter tells Miami that Lesnar left the company back in ‘04 because he had the idea that he was good enough to take on the world, but when the offer came up to go one on one with The Game, he backed down. Trips berates Lesnar and tells him that now is the chance to demonstrate his “World-Beating” capabilities against the King of Kings. Lesnar quickly complies and the match is under way.
